I love my Fennel plant...lol. I have used the leafy parts in salad to add a bit of different flavor. The seeds can be harvested in fall and dried to be used in Pizza sauce, and other Italian dishes, sausage, or Seitan. It IS an aquired taste... and I have been known to be showing hte palnt to people and grab a hunk of leaf and chomp on it... gets a great reaction when they try it for the first time...LOL. One Fennel last year netted 3 new this year... so get rid of those seeds if you don't want it to spread....lol.
