Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them – every day begin the task anew.
Saint Francis de Sales
I think this adequately sums up my feelings approaching a new year – a clean slate. About this time of year I begin to feel a sort of looming cloud of "should have, would have, could haves." I love the idea of a fresh start, of a blank book of a new year waiting to be filled with successes, challenges and improvements. The key for me, as with most things in my life, is to have patience and trust in God's timing.
