My devotion time this morning was spent with the first chapter of Genesis. The creation story. God taking seven days to form the world and its creatures. Nine times in this chapter God said, "It was good." It doesn't say that it was perfect. It doesn't say that it was flawless. It just says that it was good.
For the past couple of days I've been struggling. I have a difficult time not allowing other people's criticism of me to not affect my self-worth. It's hard for me to allow other people's assessments of me to be theirs – not mine. I get down and it can be hard to get back up.
This morning I was gently reminded that I am not perfect. My life is not perfect. But is it good?
It is.

Been there, and do that! Looking into Disability has done the same thing to me at this time...Basing self-worth on external things will kick my butt everytime, but...It's all good...lol. From the outside looking in, I value your friendship and envy your relationship...
Thank you for reminding me of this today of ALL DAYS...I needed it myself. Recently, I had a prayer answered...proof of what great things God can do and I was awed and so thankful (even though He took his own good sweet time resolving it and I was in emotional pain and turmoil until He DID something...ooh, I digress
:(...and I AM THANKFUL...but you know HE has his own timetable!). So, anyway, the solution that He sent may not be exactly what I was hoping for after all and I wonder if I am going to be in an even worse situation than before...but you reminding me that "It's all good" also reminded me that God makes the way in whatever situation and "good" will come out of it...even though it may not be what we thought it should be. So, yes, "It's ALL GOOD" and Tanya, "GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME...ALL THE TIME...GOD IS GOOD."
