{a project ali and i did. we coffee stained six 8x10 canvases and then painted the backgrounds and letters. we then attached quotes to the bottom. if you look closely at the letter C you will notice that i misspelled a word in the quote. since it's all about embracing imperfection i decided to let it stay!}

{at about 1:30 this morning i received a text message with this photo from a phone number with a colorado area code. i have no idea who it's from but i decided to make this photo with a ghostly image on a road trip my photo of the day.}

{what happens the first time you use your gas grill every spring? you run out of gas and have to interrupt the cooking to run to the nearest gas station to trade in your tank! but oh. . . it's still worth it!}

{when i went to our precinct yesterday i knew there wouldn't be much for a democrat to vote on. the tiny little old lady at our precinct table asked which ballot i would be voting. when i answered democrat {in an overwhelmingly republican county} she slyly winked at me and mouthed the words "thank you!"}

{leap year day in ohio: 70 degrees at 6:30 in the evening so i celebrated with a beer on the porch! we bought a six pack of beer in blue bottles for our garden sculpture. i suppose it will take from now until summer to drink all six!}
